How do they work?

High up windows always present a challenge that can be solved with solar powered blinds. Whether these are windows situated high up in hallways or velux, skylight type windows.

What are the solutions for a skylight window?

We can provide branded solutions from Velux, for example, for your skylights but over standard windows our rechargeable motorised blinds are the best solution. We fit the rechargeable battery pack with an additional solar panel that trickle charges the battery pack ensuring no need for re- charging or greatly increasing the time between charges.

What do the sensors provide?

If you would like to automate your blinds to react to the light intensity coming through the window or doors, we can also provide a sensor to monitor this and integrate this into your home automation system. So, if you’re worried about furniture of artwork fading in direct sunlight this could be the solution. If you have external blinds it can stop them ripping in high winds.

Where to use sensors/solar power;

  • Hard to reach places such as skylights

  • Rooms where direct sunlight is an issue

  • Controlling room temperature

  • External blinds where a wind sensor is useful
