Recess

When is it best to use a recess to hide your blinds?

The slickest option, if you have a recess or the ability to create a recess, is to go with our blind pocket solution. These blind pockets are 100mm x 100mm in size as a minimum. If you don’t have that space or do not want the additional cost of the blind pocket solution, then having your builder create a recess for us to hide the blind is a good option. Over bi-fold doors we recommend the pocket solution, if possible, as you will be able to see up into the recess when you walk under the blind.

Frameless windows – how do you create blackout?

It is also worth noting that if you have decided on having frameless windows (i.e. just glass visible) then light bleed will be worse around the sides of the blinds so creating channels either side of the window recess is a good idea. Make sure the recess at the top extends in width to the depth of the side channels.
