Roller Blinds

How Does It Work?

This is the most popular option for motorisation and is due to a number of different factors. In general roller blinds tend to be one of the most cost effective solutions. The consumer has an added benefit of a huge variety of different fabrics from sheer to opaque to blackout and from plain to patterned. If you are looking at patterned blinds these are probably best at individual windows rather than next door to each other – say on a bifold door run.

Fabric Choices

Should you wish to have samples of the fabrics that are available please click here. You may order up to 5 fabric samples to be delivered to your home.

We also have blinds which are ideal for kitchen/living areas as they are easy to clean and very hard wearing. Our most popular roller blinds have different levels of opacity. This is called the openness factor of the weave and comes in 1%, 3% and 5%. These blinds are excellent at keeping out direct sunlight and reducing solar gain. Depending on the openness factor your view through the blind increases. Counter intuitively white blinds are more difficult to see through than darker colours in the same openness factor. This is due to light colours refracting light within the weave.

Width Options

In addition, there are greater possibilities in terms of the widths that the motorised blinds can be made in. In general, most blind materials are made in 2 meter widths but, depending on manufacturer, we can offer blinds at up to 4 meters wide.
